Please know that I will be out of the office & traveling December 2024 - February 2025. I would love to work with you before & after!

Massage Styles

Deep Tissue

My deep tissue massage is influenced by my training in deep tissue, trigger point & Thai massage. I use broad pressure and specific points to relax the tissue and calm the nervous system by doing both at once. This work holds a client on the edge of intensity. Breathing in the midst of deep work is necessary for effectiveness, I will listen to the rhythm of your breath & tissue as I work but you know your body best and are encouraged to talk to me any time if things get too intense.

Relaxation

My relaxation massages are influenced in my training in Reiki, Reflexology, Thai and Swedish massage. My goal with a relaxation massage is to make one feel like they are floating on a cloud, weightless in their own body. I utilize long soft strokes to calm the nervous system as well as help your muscles melt into bliss. I relax pressure points in the hands and feet to create a smooth exit for pent up energy. And I use a super gental touch around you head & neck to really let your body learn how to let go.

Thai massage

My Thai massage is influenced by my training with Christopher Ray and is different from traditional Thai bodywork because I use straps attached to the walls to maneuver myself and utilize my bodyweight to focus on deep compressions. The pressure from using body parts larger than hands and elbows, like my legs, knees, and feet is more dispersed and calms the nervous system, allowing the work to go deeper. This can be deeper bodywork than my deep tissue massage, And your contribution of breath is very important for your body to let go. *** This is a clothed massage performed on a mat on the floor.

About Me

Hello! My name is Katie Jenkins and I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2015 after graduating from East West College of the Healing Arts in Portland, OR. I worked full time in the spa world of Portland for about six years honing my craft and working with a LOT of bodies. I love working with my hands and one on one with people. But being a massage therapist for me is less about me and more about being a conduit for you and your healing. I am there to listen, remind, and encourage your body to do what it knows how to do. I am there to bring your awareness back to the moment and your body. I love to hold you on the edge and make you feel weightless as we bring blood back to parts of your body that haven't felt fluid circulation in a while. I love working with all bodies; may you need pain relief, stress reduction or connection to self. I will do my best to make you feel as safe, comfortable, and relaxed as possible; no matter your race, gender, or sexual orientation. This work is my calling, I'd be honored if you gave me a chance to help you feel bliss <3

In my free time I am an adventurous spirit who loves to be outside and moving. Biking, hiking, and yoga are my main form of meditation, rejuvenation, and exercise.
